Steps in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Material Procurement
- QA begins with material procurement, ensuring all specifications are met as per the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and tender documents.
- Suppliers are instructed to provide test certificates, manuals, and other relevant documentation with the supplied materials.
Design Review:
- Final working drawings are assessed to align with the layout and project schemes, such as cable schedules, light fitting schedules, and MCB DB schedules.
- Any changes in design or specifications are communicated to suppliers and clients.
Material Inspection:
- Materials delivered to the site are thoroughly inspected for quantity, quality, and compliance with the supplier’s invoice.
- Damaged or missing items are immediately reported for correction.
Storage and Documentation:
- All materials are stored properly with identification tags for easy access.
- Factory test certificates, manuals, and as-built drawings are documented and shared with clients.
